Hoover TwinTank Steam Mop

My Hoover TwinTank Steam Mop is  here!!

Look at all the goodies it came with!

Time to try it out!
I love how light weight and easy to move round it is.
The cord is extra long, so I can do a whole room at a time!
The twin tanks are easy to pop off and fill
up ,and just as easy to pop back on.

My old steam mop it took me forever
just to get the tank part off.
It heats up really quickly, the ready light
lets me know when I am good to go.
The mop is not loud and work like a charm.
I used this on three different floors.
First I did the wood floor in my Kitchen.
Having  two small kids  there was a few sticky spots.
I waited for my light and then watched
as the steam got the sticky right off.
I was excited and amazed.
Looks shiny wood floors!

Next was the granite floor in the bathroom.
This floor was dirty since
we had been working in there recently.
Ew dirty granite floor.

I did not clean it cause I knew I had
the Hoover TwinTank Steam mop coming.
Honestly I was a bit worried to use this
on the granite but it worked wonders.
The layers of dirt and dust disapeared right away.
It left the floor super shiny.

(Please pardon our bathroom it isn't finished yet!)

I was really impressed with
how good it made the granite look.
Last was my tile entry way, which had
muddy footprints on it since it had rained.
Plugged in, it heated up and then it took
but a few quick slides across
and the floor was looking good.
Not only was it cleaning the floors
 but it was disinfecting them.
It has a control knob that allowed
me to chose the cleaning mode.

I used the general clean through out my house.
I even put the attachment piece on and
steamed the rug in my dinning room.
When my husband got home from work he was like
 "Wow these floors look great!".
All the floors in my house were squeaky clean.
This steam mop is easy to use.
I have used others in the past, that were so
heavy and just a pain to get apart to fill up.
Only one thing I wish it had was a trigger lock.
My hand did get a little sore from holding it down.

The Hoover TwinTank Steam Mop
defiantly makes cleaning the floors a lot easier.
I loved the results, and will be using it regularly!

Want to pick up one for your house?
Your floors will thank you!

Bacon Taco's

We love bacon in The Dollhouse.
I have caught my hubby pouring bacon bits into
his mouth by the bag full.
Yes he is a serious bacon addict.
The other night I made some bacon taco's.
They were so good!

First thing you need is a package of bacon.
Cut the strips in half and weave them together.

I am a firm believer that bacon cooks
and crisp best in the microwave.
But I gave baking it a try.
The dish was full of bacon grease and bacon not crispy.
So I took it out lined a plate with paper towel
and popped it in the microwave.
I has some steak strips cooking
and I covered the strips with Cayenne pepper.
Remember I said I was going to be putting Cayenne
on everything I eat.

To give the bacon extra support
I put a toasted tortilla underneath it.
Which worked out awesome!

Then I just layered it.
Tortilla, bacon, steak
I made a mayo, spinach , cayenne pepper topper.

These were spicy and delicious.
For my taco I cut my bacon shell in half.
My hubby did the full bacon shell on both his taco's.
And yes a full package of bacon made three bacon shells.
But we got four taco's out of it since I cut mine in half.

Would I feed these to my kids?
Probably not they were really greasy.
We try not to let the kids eat to much bacon.
But for a dinner night with just me and the hubby
it was the perfect dinner.

Hubby say they were amazingly good!
And I agree!!!

Guylian Belgian Chocolate

Are you a chocolate addict like me?
If so you need to try some Guylian Belgian Chocolate.
The story of how it all began is  so sweet.
The story of Chocolaterie Guylian began in the late 1950’s with the marriage of Guy Foubert and Liliane. Guy and Liliane joined their names in our company name: Chocolaterie Guy-lian. Guy soon realised that the world was ready for something totally new. On which the young couple created for the first time chocolates in the shape of seashells. Guy developed the recipe of our signature hazelnut pralinĂ© filling; Lilliane added the artistic touch by designing the shining marbled look and the delicately sculptured shapes. A true love story of romance and chocolate.

Giveaways for Guylian have been popping
up all over the mommy blog world.
They looked so good I just had to get my hands on some.
I guess the chocolate luck god's were on my side,
because I was chosen as a winner to receive a box
of their truffles.
YUM!!!
This was exciting to cause it was
just around Christmas time.
So I was planning on bringing them
to my mother in laws house so
 everyone could try some.
Well they never showed.
I was bummed I let two months go by and nothing.
I contacted the blog I won them on and no response.
But I kept seeing Guylian giveaways all over the place.
But it wouldn't be fair to enter another
one since I had already won.
Well I thought about it and decided to contact Guylian myself,
by this time almost 5 months had gone by.
I was very nice and just said I think
I had slipped through the cracks.
They responded quickly and said they would look into it.
Well last week I received another email
asking if  my prize had arrived.
I said no and that I kinda gave up hope on it.
Well Mike from Guylian said it
 would be shipped out asap.
A few days later a huge box arrived from Guylian.

And it didn't have just one box of chocolate it had many!!!

I am so excited!!

I opened one up right away so me
and Miss blue could taste one.
But since I live in Florida they were a bit melted.
Into the freezer they go!

My mother in-law saw this and her eye's lite up.
She went "Oh my that is the good stuff!!"
I gave her a little box to take home so
she could slowly savor too!
So is this chocolate as  good as everyone says it is?
YES!!!
It is delicious the chocolate and hazelnut
are  amazing together.

My husbands reaction "these are out of site!"
He seriously almost ate the whole
 box of dark chocolate truffles
in one sitting, I had to stop him. Ha!

My favorite were the  original hazelnut pralinĂ© seahorse.

It was a amazing mixture of flavors.
We feel so lucky to have been able to taste all of them!
I am super impressed not only with the chocolate
but with the customer service.
Thank you Mike!!!
This was a unexpected treat that is greatly appreciated!

Go check out the Guylian Website.
They have a lot of interesting story's
about the making of the chocolate.
Read about Project Seahorse!

Jäger Bomb Cupcakes!!

The kiddies are at Nana's  for the weekend.
Tonight we are headed to a friends party.
And they just happen to be  Jäger -addicts!
I am going to bring a batch of  Jäger  Bomb cupcakes!
It's going to be a drunk off cupcake's kinda night!

But first I am going to show you, so you can make them too!
You will need 3 things for the Jager Buttercream.
Sweet Cream Butter- 2 sticks
Powdered sugar- 1 cup but add as needed
Jäger- That is up to you!

I started off with two soft sticks of butter.
Added about a cup of powdered sugar.
Then poured in the  Jäger  and mixed.
I added more  Jäger  just to make sure you got that taste.
But the more  Jäger you add the
more powdered sugar you need.
Whip it up.
You want it light and fluffy.
If it isn't just add more powdered sugar till it is.

Now for the Redbull cupcake,
I am using
Funfetti cupcake mix.
Instead of the water I use red bull.
I will taste it while mixing and add
more if I don't get the taste.
But every time I made these the Redbull flavor
was very subtle.

Let the cupcakes chill and then ice them.
They weren't the prettiest cupcakes.
But everyone loved them!

They were the BOMB!!!!

Paper bag puppy puppet

Since it is the summer we have been taking
full advantage of the library and all it's programs.
The summer reading program has motivated Miss Blue
to read more and more books.
My little guy loves the kiddie story time.
My favorite part of it
every week they send you home with a craft.
This weeks theme was dog and cats.
In a little ziplock baggie they gave us all the
pieces we need to make a cute
little puppy puppet.

It is easy and the kids love it.

1 brown paper bag
2  medium white circles
1 black small black circle
2 ears
a tail
tongue
and 6 little black dots.

Our came all pre cut for us!
Time to grab the glue stick and get gluing.
This seriously took maybe but a minute to put together.
And the kids have been playing
with them for over a hour now!
The librarian told us the craft this week
will be a cat to chase the dog.

Do you have any fun crafts you would like to share?
My kids love to make stuff and
I would love to hear some fun crafts for them!

Sprinkle on a bit of spice and get healthy!

I have been on a egg kick lately.
I love them and have been eating them everyday.
Well the whites of the egg that is.
The yolk still kinda freaks me out, but
that is a whole different story.
A friend of mine posted about Cayenne Pepper
last week and it sparked my interest.
I had not realized how amazing it actually was
and all the health benefits.
Nutrition wise it is a winner.
Then there are so many great benefits along
with the great nutrition your getting.

The health benefits of cayenne pepper have been documented for years. This spicy, dried chili pepper is not just a delicious ingredient in Cajun food. It is a virtual medicine chest which can be used to treat numerous ailments. Cayenne even acts as a facilitator to help other herbs work more effectively in your system.

Cayenne is high in the vitamins A, C, B as well as the minerals, calcium and potassium.
  • C vitamins keep your immune system in top condition.
  • B vitamins keep your stress from becoming overwhelming.
  • Calcium, besides being good for bones and teeth, is a pain reliever.
  • Potassium keeps the tissues of your body in optimum health and helps to keep your blood pressure and heartbeat regulated.
  • Vitamin A is an important nutrient for the health and reproduction of epithelial tissue. This tissue lines all of the body cavities and is important barrier against bacteria entering the body. It is also a powerful antioxidant which helps to prevent free radical damage which could lead to cancer, neuropathy and heart disease.

Specific Health Benefits of Cayenne Pepper

Cayenne is used in many different types of illnesses. It can be used as a tea, a tincture, or capsules. The various forms can be used interchangeably except where noted.

Natural Pain Reliever

Using cayenne externally can help to relieve the pain of back aches, muscle spasms, and even osteoarthritis and cluster headaches. There has been some success with managing the pain from diabetic neuropathy; however it is less effective with neuropathy stemming from auto-immune diseases. It is generally used in cream form, and rubbed on the painful area.
The primary side effect is a mild to moderate burning sensation at the site of the application. Cayenne works by changing the focus of the nerve endings and then blocking the nerve signals.

Cardiovascular Health

The health benefits of cayenne pepper when used to treat cardio-vascular problems have been well documented for years. Taking a regular supplement of cayenne can reduce cholesterol, triglyceride levels, and platelet aggregation. It also enhances the body's ability to dissolve blood clots. In fact, cayenne is a wonderful item to have in an emergency first aid kit. It has been used with good success inhelping to stop severe bleeding, as well as being used with heart attack victims. It strengthens the heart and regulates blood flow.

Inflammation

Substance P is a neuropeptide. Its job is to quickly alert the body to pain. Capsaicin, which is what gives cayenne the heat, inhibits substance P and keeps it from relaying the pain effectively.
Cayenne is being used to treat sensory nerve fiber disorders that occur with arthritis, psoriasis and other inflammatory conditions in the body. There may be an initial increase in the pain followed by a gradual decrease over a period of time until the pain is diminished. Many people who have used cayenne for awhile describe themselves as pain free.

Clearing Congestion

Cayenne helps to clear up a stuffy nose or the chest congestion associated with colds and flu. It stimulates the mucous membranes to drain and thins out the mucous that is being formed. If you are a nursing mom, and your baby has a stuffy nose, you can achieve the same results by taking the cayenne yourself and nursing your baby.

Even More Uses for Cayenne

  • Hot peppers can help to stave off stomach ulcers. They prevent them by killing harmful bacteria and, at the same time, stimulating the cells of the stomach lining.
  • It can be used to warm cold feet in the winter. Sprinkle some powdered cayenne in your shoes and your feet with be toasty warm.
  • Heats up the metabolism. Cayenne significantly increases heat production in the body which burns calories. This thermogenic effect can last more than 20 minutes.
  • Gargle with cayenne tea to cure a sore throat.
  • Has been used successfully for the external treatment of MRSA.
  • Cayenne acts as a mood elevator.

Every day researchers seem to be finding some new health benefit of cayenne pepper. From metabolism to cardiovascular system, cayenne seems to be the hardest working herb on the planet.

So my last trip to the store I picked up a bottle.
I am going to start sprinkling it on everything I eat.
This morning it was Cayenne Pepper egg whites for me!

I put them over some spinach and drizzled a
bit of Raspberry vinaigrette!

It was good!
My plain boring breakfast,
was now hot and spicy!
I loved it.
I'm even going to try in sneak some in dinner tonight.
And see if anyone says anything.
These health benefits are worth a little bit of burn.
Wouldn't you agree?
It's a good burn and it lets you know it is working!
Something amazing my teeth aren't hurting.
I have  usually have constant throbbing through
out the day and it is gone!
My body has a tingling sensation.
I feel great!!

Disney Store Rapunzel flip flops

Miss Blue has been begging
me to buy her flip flops for months now.
But I just never got around to it.
Well a week or so ago I was
going through my email.
A hot deal was going on that
was popping up in a lot
of  mommy blog emails.
The Disney Store was having a sale
a lot of stuff was super discounted.
And to sweeten the deal Shop at Home
was offering a full rebate of $3.99,
on the sale price of the flip flops.
Yay, I didn't even have to think about this,
it was a no brainer.
I was going to get the Rapunzel Flip Flops.
Reg  $7.50
on sale for $3.99
Free Shipping
(Thanks to a code)
plus .28 sales tax
making a total of $4.27.

And don't forget I will be getting the $3.99 back
with the Shop at Home cash back reward.
Only thing that I didn't realize was that
to cash out I need to have a $20 min.
Which might take awhile, I don't think Ebates does that.
But I just need to watch for awesome deals like this.
So when I do get my rebate I would have paid .28
for Miss Blues new flip flops.
But the really cool part is the $4.27 I used to pay was
money I earned from Superpoints.
(FREE PAYPAL MONEY)
So I technically got them for free!

So the they arrived today!
The box had Disney written on it so Miss Blue
was like Oooh Disney Mommy.
We opened the box and when she saw them
her face lite up.
She was beyond excited!
Miss Blue went " Mommy I don't like them, I love them!"
It made me feel good, I made her so happy.
But I knew she really wanted them.
And I have to say they are super cute!

You know how some flip flops are flimsy
these are well made and I don't see them
falling apart anytime soon.
They have a pretty sparkle to them!
And the best part they have Rapunzel!
My little girl loves her!
So I knew she was going to love these.
Now I have a problem though,
little guy wants a pair of Flynn Rider ones.
Which I don't think they make.
He might just have to settle for
a Flynn Rider doll instead!
We are Tangle lovers in this house
and it is awesome to get such a great deal!
They have a ton of great Tangled products go see.
Tangled Stuff
Sadly they don't  have any more Rapunzel flip flops
but they do have Mickey Mouse ones on sale for $3.99.
Mickey Flip Flops

Did you score this deal?

Oz :The Great and Powerful

"From the director of the Spider-Man trilogy and the producer of Alice in Wonderland."

OZ: The Great and Powerful

I am super excited about this movie
coming out spring 2013.
As a little girl Wizard of Oz was
my absolutely favorite movie.
I would watch it over and over.
What is really exciting is that they just aren't redoing the
Wizard of Oz, but giving us a whole new look at the story.

Oz: the Great and the Powerful‘s plot synopsis: When Oscar Diggs (James Franco), a small-time circus magician with dubious ethics, is hurled away from dusty Kansas to the vibrant Land of Oz, he thinks he’s hit the jackpot—fame and fortune are his for the taking—that is until he meets three witches, Theodora (Mila Kunis) Evanora (Rachel Weisz) and Glinda (Michelle Williams), who are not convinced he is the great wizard everyone’s been expecting. Reluctantly drawn into the epic problems facing the Land of Oz and its inhabitants, Oscar must find out who is good and who is evil before it is too late. Putting his magical arts to use through illusion, ingenuity—and even a bit of wizardry—Oscar transforms himself not only into the great and powerful Wizard of Oz but into a better man as well.

Discover the origins of L. Frank Baum's 'the Wizard of Oz
He actually wrote fourteen full-length Oz books.
Turns out the one we all know and love
wasn't so true to the books.
Here are some know differences
between the book and the MGM Movie.
  1. There is no cellar, just a trapdoor in the middle of the house floor which led to hole in the ground.
  2. The house is one room.
  3. There are no trees or other houses around the farm.
  4. Aunt Em and Uncle Henry had a hard life and never laughed.
  5. THERE ARE NO FARMHANDS- Hunk, Zeke, or Hickory.
  6. THERE IS NO MISS GULTCH.
  7. There is no Professor Marvel.
  8. There is no Toto being misbehaving plot.
  9. The cyclone just comes and Dorothy and Toto are too late to go down the trapdoor.
  10. Dorothy DOES NOT HIT HER HEAD and have a dream- the cyclone REALLY takes the house away and transports Dorothy and Toto to another place.
  11. The Good Witch of the North is NOT Glinda; Glinda is the Witch of the South. The North Witch kisses Dorothy to protect her from all evil.
  12. The Munchkins were not midgets or dwarfs, just smaller than regular adults.
  13. The Wicked Witch of the East had Silver Shoes, not Ruby Slippers.
  14. Dorothy is greeted by three men and the Witch of the North.1- The 1.Wicked Witch of the West is just in one chapter and is simply an obstacle to overcome as opposed to the centerpiece of the story.
  15. Oz himself has many different illusions.
  16. The Tin Woodsman was originally a human.
  17. The death of the Wicked Witch of the West is in the middle of the book, and the Scarecrow isn’t even there.
  18. Dorothy’s journey is much longer, and the team gets separated at times.
  19. Oz wants Dorothy to kill the Wicked Witch of the West as opposed to bringing him her broomstick.
  20. The Flying Monkeys weren’t evil; they were under control via a magical Golden Cap. Dorothy actually gets the cap and controls them.
  21. Everyone wears emerald glasses in the City of Emeralds so everything looks green (another scheme by Oz).
  22. Dorothy and friends fought more monsters and visited different cities, such as a city made entirely of china.
  23.  The Tin Woodsman used his axe to kill 40 wolves sent by the Wicked Witch of the West.
  24. Then the Scarecrow broke the necks of a bunch of crows she sent.
  25. Toto isn’t responsible for everything and doesn’t have the super-intelligence he has in the movie (he accidentally moves the screen Oz is hiding behind as opposed to detecting the scheme).
  26. Dorothy is like 11 or 12.

It will be interesting to see how Disney interprets this story!
Me and the family will for sure be
going to see this in the theater!
The preview looks awesome!
